Pilates and Yoga excercises complement each other and can be practiced alternately. Pilates can be regarded as a body/mind concept. Joseph Pilates, the founder called his work "contrology" because he considered this to be a body/mind/spirit approach to movement founded on the integrative effect of principles such as centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow.  Ayurveda

Indian tradition considers Yoga and Ayurveda like brothers and sisters, the children of the Vedic Teachings . Both strive to help a person re-connect to their true nature through direct experience. While the health benefits of a mind at peace, a person with a clear mind is also aware of their deeper spiritual nature or connection. In fact, Ayurveda is the healing side of Yoga, and Yoga is the spiritual side of Ayurveda. Together they encompass a complete approach to the well being of the body, the mind, and the spirit. While the outside world is constantly changing like our environment, cultures, jobs and friends, basically everything different challenges may enter our life. These challenges ask for growth and wisdom using our qualities, like perserverance, will and humility. Sometimes, in a quite moment we might also ponder about life's quest on us and our role. Every decade in my life brought changes to my life and new interest sprouted along with more questions to life. While I grew up I had the chance to study and aquire professional knowledge in commerce and computer science.
